The Downtown Property and Business Improvement District, otherwise known as the Downtown Partnership Clean & Safe program, is a passionate group of clean ambassadors, safety ambassadors, unhoused care professionals, beautification experts, and support staff who have been dedicated to making Downtown cleaner and safer for more than 25 years. Residents, businesses, and property owners can have confidence in Downtown because of the best practices, continuous improvement, and recognized excellence that the DSDP Clean & Safe team brings to the responsibility of serving Downtown’s neighborhoods.
Our compassionate unhoused care team is committed to reducing Downtown homelessness through connections to appropriate interventions and direct street outreach.
Clean ambassadors empty garbage bins, sweep sidewalks, refill dog bag stations, and perform a variety of other tasks to make the public realm cleaner for everyone to enjoy.
Safety ambassadors are additional eyes and ears for Downtown neighborhoods. They conduct business visits, welfare checks, and can even walk you to your home or car in the Downtown area.
As an additional benefit to Downtown neighborhoods, the Clean & Safe program includes a robust community enhancement portfolio of projects like murals, wayfinding signage, community events, and more.
To make our public realm cleaner, the Clean & Safe program provides additional power washing and deep cleaning throughout the 280 blocks of the Property and Business Improvement District. See when your block gets cleaned.
The Clean & Safe team serves six Downtown neighborhoods over 1.15 square miles, 280 blocks and more than 13,000 unique parcels included in the Property and Business Improvement District.

Our Clean & Safe team organizes several volunteer initiatives, including neighborhood cleanup and beautification events that provide the chance to work alongside community members, beautify Downtown neighborhoods, and build new connections with neighbors.
