Following the challenges of the pandemic, the Downtown San Diego Partnership has renewed its commitment to fostering a culturally vibrant and economically prosperous urban core in San Diego with the announcement of Discovering Downtowns – Nashville 2023. During this three-day trip, members will tour projects in line with those happening in San Diego, hear from experts on best practices and economic insights, enjoy networking opportunities with receptions and happy hours and strengthen the relationship among sister cities.
Downtown San Diego is well-positioned for significant growth over the next five years with transformational development projects under construction including IQHQ’s RaDD development, turning Tailgate Park from a parking lot to a vibrant mixed-use project and Horton Plaza in line to be Downtown’s first life-science hub. Paired with exciting infrastructure efforts including the Gaslamp Promenade, the Downtown Arts District and East Village Green Park under planning the delegation of the Downtown San Diego Partnership is eager to travel, tour and hear expert opinions on efforts of paralleled projects in the Downtown area of Nashville.
